January Message from the Pastor
Well, we are finally through with the year 2020. Welcome to 2021! Now, the question on everyone's mind is this; what will happen this year?
Ecclaesiastes 1:9 gives us the answer; "that which has been is what will be, that which is done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun."
So, what does this mean for you and me? What does this mean for 2021? Well, it means that life will go on like it always has. We will go on like it always has. We will have good days and bad days, easy days and hard days, healthy days and sick days.
In 2021, some of us will be blessed with a year of abundance and success while some of us will struggle to get by and be met by failure after failure. However, the majority of us will experience a mixture of both the good and the bad. How do I know this? "Because that which will has been is what will be, that which is done will be done!"
In 2021, some of us will get married, have a child, or start a new career. Some of us will lose a spouse, watch a child move away, or lose a career. Some of us will see a year of good health while some of us will suffer with pain and sickness. A few of us will likely even pass away this year and go to be with the Lord! How do I know this? Because that which will has been is what will be, that which is done will be done!"
2021 will continue to be like every other year before it! Each year is filled with things that are expected and things that are unexpected and this year will be the same and why is that? Because that which will has been is what will be, that which is done will be done!"
There is nothing new under the sun!Life will go on! Yes, we will go through trials and tribulations. Yes, we will experience sickness, injustices, and death! But, we will also go through times of immense blessings! We will also experience health, justice and life!
Because that which will has been is what will be, that which is done will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun." And do you know what that also means? It means that God is still on His throne! It means that God is in control! It means that God is still sovereign, just, merciful, and full of grace! Well, as a Christian, do you know what that means? It means that Jesus is still your Lord and Savior! It means that you are still empowered by the Holy Spirit to live a life of victory! It means that as long as your are abiding in Jesus, and have put your trust and hope in Him, you will be blessed in 2021!
